8th International Scientific Conference „New trends in management and production engineering - regional, cross-border and global perspective”

On 10-11 June 2021, 8th International Scientific Conference "New trends in management and production engineering - regional, cross-border and global perspective" was held in Brenna. The conference was organized in a hybrid formula within the project "Perfect - Regional Initiative of Excellence at WSB University", which is one of the key projects of the Ministry of Education and Science supporting the development of scientific achievements of Polish scholars and promoting Polish science in the global dimension.

The participants of the event, including world-famous scientists and representatives of national academic centers and conference partners were welcomed by Prof. Włodzimierz Sroka, PhD, Chairman of the Conference Organizing Committee.

The first day of the conference was dedicated to keynote speakers presentations, prominent scholars in the field of management:

  • prof. Peter Zámborský, University of Auckland (New Zeland)
  • prof. Joanna Paliszkiewicz, Warsaw University of Life Sciences (Poland)
  • prof. Diego Quer, University of Alicante (Spain)
  • prof. Shuichi Ishida, Tohoku University (Japan)
  • prof. Nikolay Megits, Webster University (United States)

The event was also an excellent opportunity to honor the recent success of one of the WSB University' s researchers, Dr. habil.  Judit Oláh, prof. AWSB, who has been awarded of DSc title by the Hungarian Academy of Sciences, which is given to long-standing and internationally established staff.

During the first and second day of the conference several thematic sessions were held on the following topics: business management, sustainable development, macroeconomic aspects of management, strategic management, human resources management, CSR and business ethics, entrepreneurship and innovation, economic and social aspects of regional development.
