Online lecture by Prof. Petr Sedlack, University of Oxford

Today was the first lecture by Professor Petr Sedlack from the University of Oxford on the topic " Which firms are important for the macroeconomy?"

The lecture introduced students to basic facts about firms and how they affect the rest of the economy. During the lecture Prof. Petr Sedlacek answered some very frequently asked questions: how important are small companies? should we be concerned about startups? is there a group of particularly successful companies that is crucial for job creation in the aggregate economy?

After the lecture, a discussion ensued and there were questions from the students.

The lecture was realized as part of the project "Serial entrepreneurs, macroeconomics and income inequality", which is co-financed by Górnośląsko-Zagłębiowską Metropolię within the framework of the Programme "Metropolitan Fund for the Support of Science" from 2019 to 2022.
