Webinar "Multimodal Terminals on the Territory of Ukraine and Neighbouring EU Countries"

On 22 June 2023, an online roundtable 'Multimodal Terminals on the Territory of Ukraine and Neighbouring EU Countries' was held within the framework of the project 'Increasing the Capacity of Freight Transport Infrastructure at EU-Ukraine Borders' (No. 22220189) funded by the International Visegrad Fund (Visegrad Grant+ Programme).

The event was organised by the Dolishniy Institute of Regional Research of the National Academy of Science of Ukraine, the project leader. This is the second public event organised as part of the project.

During the roundtable, project partners from Ukraine, Poland, Slovakia, Hungary and Romania presented research results on multimodal transport in Ukraine and neighbouring EU countries, the development of transhipment infrastructure, particularly in border regions, as well as the current status and prospects for improving the organisational and legal environment for the development of multimodal terminals.

The roundtable was attended by representatives of central and regional authorities, regional customs authorities, border agencies, as well as scientists from Ukraine, Poland, Slovakia, Hungary and Romania.

The project team of the WSB Academy was represented by PhD Iwona Krzyżewska.
