On Friday, 26 May, the XXVIII Grand Gala of the Chamber of Crafts and Small and Medium-sized Enterprises in Katowice was held in the concert hall of the National Polish Radio Symphony Orchestra in Katowice, during which the Rector of the WSB University, Prof. Zdzisława Dacko-Pikiewicz, was honoured with the statuette 'Spolegliwy Przyjaciel Rzemiosła' (Friend of Crafts).
The distinction 'Spolegliwy Przyjaciel Rzemiosła' (Friend of Crafts) is awarded for realising good cooperation between economic and local self-government and for comprehensive and unconventional activities favouring the development of crafts and small and medium-sized enterprises in Silesia.
The Grand Gala is an annual event which brings together over 2,000 craftsmen and entrepreneurs from the Silesian region and is one of the most important celebrations of the economic environment in southern Poland. The gala was attended by representatives of the political, economic, scientific and social worlds of our country and region.
