Dr. Marcin Lis, prof. AWSB appointed to the Programme Council of the SA&AM Cluster

Dr. Marcin Lis, prof. AWSB - Vice-Rector for Student Affairs and Cooperation with the Environment at WSB University was appointed to the Programme Council of the Silesia Automotive & Advanced Manufacturing Cluster for the term 2023-2026, chaired by Dr. Janusz Michałek, President of the Board of the Katowice Special Economic Zone.

The Silesia Automotive & Advanced Manufacturing Cluster is one of the most important clusters in the country, as confirmed by the obtained certificate of the National Key Cluster. The aim of the SA&AM Cluster is to build in the region a strong platform for knowledge exchange and cooperation between companies from the automotive sector, suppliers of new digital technologies, educational, scientific and business environment institutions. The cluster carries out activities focused around two pillars: Innovation and Cooperation and Labour Market and Education.

Katowicka Specjalna Strefa Ekonomiczna S.A. is a leader among Polish special economic zones, which is confirmed by the fact that it is ranked first in Europe and third worldwide (according to the latest Financial Times ranking). The KSEZ covers the Silesian voivodeship and 6 poviats of the Opolskie voivodeship. There are currently over 500 companies operating there, which have invested a total of around 42 billion PLN and created 90,000 jobs. The KSEZ is committed to linking science and business, building partnerships in the investment process, effective cooperation between Poland and foreign countries and support in providing highly qualified staff to meet the needs of the labour market and our entrepreneurs.
