On 19 March 2023, at the Zagłębie Culture Palace, during a gala ceremony on the occasion of the Inauguration of the Metropolitan Days of Cultural Diversity organised by the WSB University, Dr Rafał Rębilas - Pro-rector for International Relations of the WSB University was awarded the Golden Badge of Honour for his contribution to the Silesian Voivodeship.
The badge was presented on behalf of Prof. Marek Gzik, President of the Silesian Regional Assembly by Ms Katarzyna Stachowicz, Councillor of the Silesian Regional Assembly, Chair of the Environment and Water Management Committee and member of the ad hoc committee "Chapter of the badge of honour for services to the Silesian Voivodeship".
The badges are awarded to individuals and state institutions, local government units, entrepreneurs, social and professional organisations which, through their activities in the Silesian Voivodeship, have made an outstanding contribution to the economic, cultural and social development of the voivodeship.
