RULES OF THE COMPETITION

for the Lecturer of the year at WSB Academy

The aim of the competition is to select the best lecturers at the WSB University in Dąbrowa Górnicza and its Branch Faculties, who stimulate students to action and development with their knowledge, passion and commitment. The competition will allow for the presentation of interesting forms of teaching that make learning interesting.

The competition is organized by the Student Government of the WSB University in Dąbrowa Górnicza and the Association of Alumni and Students of the WSB Academy in Dąbrowa Górnicza.

The award will be given individually in each of the Departments of the WSB University in Dąbrowa Górnicza, in three categories:

1. a) PERSONALITY AND CHARISMA – the laureate of this category is a person who transmits knowledge with passion and commitment. His classes are characterized by full professionalism, matter-of-factness and strong charisma.
2. b) KILLER – the winner of this category is a demanding person who consistently pursues his goals. The candidate, despite the fact that he may appear to be a strict person, has an above average objective and is fair in his assessments. A person who is open to new challenges and is supporting the most difficult projects.
3. c) STUDENTS FRIEND – the winner of this category makes WSB University a place where science is closely intertwined with building relationships and values. Through his work the candidate makes studies more friendly and adapted to the needs of students.

An academic lecturer at the WSB University who, between October 1, 2019 and May 31, 2020, conducted or conducts lectures, exercises, laboratories or clinical classes as part of the study program at the WSB University in Dąbrowa Górnicza and its Branch Departments.

Voting for selected candidates will take place via an online questionnaire, which will be published on the websites of the Faculty of WSB University in Dąbrowa Górnicza from November 12, 2020 to November 27, 2020. Applications received after the indicated date will not be considered.

The winners of the competition in each category will be those who will receive the highest number of votes cast in the online survey by students/graduates.

The results of the competition will be announced on December 1, 2020 (WSB University website), and the awards will be presented during the official gala ”University Day” on December 1, 2020.

The Competition Committee, composed of the following members, will be responsible for the correct course of voting, selecting the winners and awarding prizes:

1. a) Rector of the WSB Academy dr hab. Zdzisława Dacko-Pikiewicz, prof. of WSB University
2. c) Marcelina Pilarska – Chairwoman of the Student Self-government/Representative of the student body
3. d) Dominik Penar – representative of the WSB Alumni and Students Association
