WSB University recognised by the Times Higher Education (THE) World University Rankings at the LUMEN 2022 conference.

The WSB University was recognised by the Times Higher Education (THE) World University Rankings during the 8th LUMEN 2022 conference (22-23 November this year). On behalf of Dr. Zdzisława Dacko-Pikiewicz, Prof. AWSB, Rector of the WSB University, the award was received by Mr Paweł Urgacz, Director of the International Relations Office. The Times Higher Education (THE) World University Rankings is one of the most prestigious and recognizable rankings of higher education institutions in the world. It is the only one to use criteria covering each of the university's missions in its assessment: teaching, research, knowledge transfer to the environment and internationalization. The latest edition ranked a total of 1,799 higher education institutions from 104 countries and regions. In addition, 526 HEIs were given 'Reporter' status - these are entities that took part in the assessment process but did not meet the eligibility criteria for rank. In total, more than 210 more HEIs were included than in the previous edition. More than 2,500 institutions were assessed. In preparing the ranking, Times Higher Education analysed, among other things, more than 121 million citations from 15.5 million academic publications and the results of surveys conducted among 40,000 researchers from around the world.
