Q-HELIX - is an international alliance of 11 universities from 10 European countries.
The partners jointly prepared the project "Q-Helix - The Inclusive European University guided by the Quintuple Helix Compass" within the framework of the European Commission's call "European Universities Initiative".
The project was recognized by the European Commission, which awarded it the "SEAL OF EXCELLENCE" badge. This badge is given to a small number of project proposals "for a high-quality project proposal in a highly competitive evaluation process."

The project involves building strong ecosystems of cooperation (international networks of stakeholders from 10 countries involving agencies, businesses, civil society, government bodies and academia), in the areas of:
Security - A balanced and multidimensional approach to migration and security, with a special focus on the situation of Belarusian political migrants (Intelligence from EHU - a Lithuanian university) and residents of Mitrovica in Kosovo (an ethnically divided city).
Healthcare - Establishment by each partner of a consortium of interdisciplinary centers, bringing together specialists (clinicians and researchers) who would collaborate (locally and among themselves) on research and practical solutions for a holistic approach to health (somatic and mental aspects, from prevention through diagnosis, therapy and rehabilitation).
Environmental conservation & restoration - combined with the idea of smart city and other partner projects, such as Ocean Literacy. Detection of multiple parameters such as air quality, temperature, pressure) and real-time communication with smart cities,
Smart City - Optimization of use of household appliances based on time of use, real-time monitoring of consumption (use of IoT sensors, load shedding, etc.), Security alerts, smart access control (connected security cameras, smart locks, smart alarm systems), Smart homes for the elderly (automated personal assistance, voice assistance, medical alerts, remote medical monitoring, wheelchair).
The Q-Helix project establishes an integrated long-term joint educational strategy for these 11 universities, including a European inter-university campus and flexible curricula. The Q-Helix alliance supports a diverse academic environment, working for digital and environmental transformation and promoting European resilience.
The Q-Helix University project pioneers collaborative ecosystem rooted in the Quintuple Helix model, connecting stakeholders around universities. By breaking away from traditional cooperation, it focuses on Comprehensive Ecosystem Security, Environmental Conservation, Smart City Development, and Healthcare Innovation. Lifelong Learners are guided through upskilling with micro-credentials, fostering innovation.
The Q-Helix Qualifications Framework offers flexibility, shaping personalized educational paths. R&I initiatives drive inclusive sustainable development through platforms for business modeling and hackathons. An incubator program supports social entrepreneurship, engaging mentors, investors, academics, and leaders. Rooted in inclusivity, diversity, and openness, Q-Helix aims to create a sustainable ecosystem driving positive global change.
