Dr. Lorena Escandón
Dr. Lorena Escandón is the graduate program director for the Master of Digital Media at Toronto Metropolitan University. She holds a PhD in Engineering (Innovation Management) from École de technologie supérieure in Montreal, a Master of Science in Entrepreneurship from Lund University, and a Bachelor of Information Technology from Universidad de Monterrey.
Currently serving as an Assistant Professor at Toronto Metropolitan University, Dr. Escandón teaches courses on research methodology, entrepreneurship, and digital media entrepreneurship. She has also played key roles in organizing events and initiatives related to innovation and entrepreneurship. Lorena's commitment to academic excellence has earned her recognition, including the Dean's Service Award.
Her current research interests include digital transformation in the creative industries, innovation processes, and entrepreneurship. In addition to her academic pursuits, Lorena actively engages in community activities, volunteering as an instructor for entrepreneurship and STEM programs for young girls.
