Allowance

You are not entitled to the allowance if:

• You already hold a Master’s, Master of Engineering, or an equivalent degree.
• You already hold a Bachelor’s or Engineering degree and are starting another first-cycle (Bachelor's) programme.
• You apply based on the same event more than once.
• The event occurred more than 6 months before submitting the application.

Examples of situations that do NOT qualify for an allowance:

• Reduced working hours or salary (consider applying for a social scholarship instead),
• Birth of a child,
• Taking out a loan,
• Loss of pension rights due to age or incomplete documentation.

• The allowance is a one-time payment of up to 5000 PLN.
• It can be awarded twice per academic year.
• The final amount is determined by the Scholarship Committee.

There is no fixed deadline – applications are accepted throughout the academic year.

You can submit your application:

• In person – at the Scholarship Office (Room 306) or at the Dean’s Office of your Branch Faculty.
• By traditional mail – to: WSB University, ul. Cieplaka 1c, 41-300 Dąbrowa Górnicza, Poland
• Online – via the Webcon platform 

Scanned copies sent by email are not accepted.

Only complete applications will be considered.

It is your responsibility to carefully complete and submit the application in the correct form.

• Official confirmation of the difficult life situation (e.g. police/fire report, hospital discharge, death certificate, etc.).
• If you incurred any expenses due to the event, include proof (e.g. invoices, receipts).

According to Article 93 of the Law on Higher Education and Science (as amended), student benefits (including emergency allowance) may be awarded:

• for first-cycle (Bachelor’s),
• second-cycle (Master’s),
• or long-cycle Master’s programmes

...for a maximum of 12 semesters in total, regardless of whether or not the student received benefits during those semesters. This includes semesters:

• completed during a leave of absence,
• and excludes semesters of a second Bachelor’s programme commenced after obtaining a first professional degree (BA, BSc, Engineer).

If a student is enrolled in more than one programme simultaneously, overlapping semesters count as one semester.
