Maintenance Grant

• Winter semester: from September 15 to October 31* (the application form and required attachments will be available starting September 15).
• Summer semester: from February 15 to March 31*

The application should be printed out, carefully filled in, signed and submitted with the required documents in paper form to the Department of Material Assistance, room 306.
Students of the Faculty of Foreign Affairs submit their applications to the Dean's Office of the Faculty of Foreign Affairs.

Applications for the scholarship can be submitted in the following ways:

• In person at the Scholarship Office or at one of the Branch Campuses
• By traditional mail to:

• Electronically via the Webcon platform

Please note that only complete applications will be considered. Incomplete applications will be rejected.
Scanned applications sent via email will not be processed.
Students are fully responsible for the correct completion and submission of their application.

The scholarship is granted per semester and is paid for for 4 months within the semester. A new application must be submitted each semester.

Students who have submitted applications in the winter semester of the academic year are required to submit only a declaration confirming no changes (or specifying any changes) in their financial situation for the summer semester.

• Students who already hold a Master’s or equivalent degree (e.g. Master of Engineering).
• Students who already hold a Bachelor's or equivalent degree and are applying again for a first-cycle program.
• Students who have exceeded 12 semesters of study in total, including no more than 9 semesters at the first-cycle level and no more than 7 semesters at the second-cycle level.

According to the amended Article 93 of the Act of July 20, 2018 – Law on Higher Education and Science, students may receive financial aid for up to 12 semesters, regardless of whether they received benefits during that time. Within this period, the aid may be granted for:

• First-cycle studies: maximum 9 semesters
• Second-cycle studies: maximum 7 semesters

The amended act also defines how this period is calculated. All semesters in which a student was enrolled count toward this limit, including semesters during academic leave, except for semesters in new first-cycle programs started or continued after obtaining a Bachelor’s or equivalent degree. If a student is pursuing multiple programs simultaneously, concurrent semesters are counted as one.

Income that is taken under consideration determining the financial situation of the student :

• The student’s income.
• Income of the student’s spouse and any dependents (minor children, children up to 26 years old still in education, or disabled children regardless of age).
• Income of the student’s parents, legal guardians, or actual guardians and their dependents (same age conditions as above).

The amount of the Maintenance Grant may vary from semester to semester, depending on available funds and the number of eligible applicants.
