Ilustracja aktualności: Final Meeting of the EQUATION Project – Equality through Accreditation

On March 3-4, the final event of the EQUATION project – Equality through Accreditation – took place at the IEDC – Bled School of Management in Slovenia.

The educational, training, and teaching meeting (LTT) gathered 65 participants from 26 countries, both in person and online. Together, they analyzed ways to promote gender equality in accreditation and quality assurance processes. The meeting was attended by representatives of accreditation institutions, business school leaders, policy experts, and gender equality advocates. The WSB University was represented by Gabriela Węglarz, Mobility Coordinator.

The EQUATION project, funded by the European Commission, has come to an end. We are proud that WSB University, along with the other institutions in the consortium – Vistula University, CEEMAN, Riga Technical University, and IEDC Bled School of Management – developed tools and materials supporting gender equality in business and academia.

The primary challenge of the project was to reduce the gender gap in higher education, particularly in business schools. Through sustained cultural and institutional changes, WSB University, together with the project partners, worked towards ensuring equal opportunities and outcomes for both women and men.

Key project outcomes include:

  • A report on research and analysis regarding the implementation of Gender Equality Plans and accreditation mechanisms.
  • The development of implementation plans and guidelines for gender equality across all universities in the consortium.
  • Guidelines for accreditation institutions.
  • LTT programs focusing on gender equality in business schools and accreditation processes.
  • Dissemination events for higher education institutions and accreditation organizations.
