Documents

Correct and legible documents are fundamental in the admission process and define whether your application will proceed to stage two. If your profile is missing the required documents our admission officers will not be able to conduct the necessary pre-screening and, subsequently, invite you for the interview.

All candidates must fill in the document which is available in the attachment section below. If you do not have a Polish Address please write 'Not applicable' in the form.

Not all diplomas have the same legal power. Please have a look here: https://kwalifikator.nawa.gov.pl/  and confirm whether your diploma allows you to recieve higher education abroad and under which criteria.

Kindly bear in mind that the list of documents varies from country to country hence outmost importance has to be given to the information presented below. Please find your country/region of origin on the list and then proceed with with the acquisition of the documents required.

  • The EU, Schengen area and OECD member States

    Applicants from the EU, Schengen area and OECD member states are required to have the following:

    -   International Passport (internal ID card is not accepted).

    -   High School Diploma/Atestat (Атестат)/Certificate or a Diploma from professional College, or previously received Bachelors Diploma for application for First Cycle of Studies or Bachelor's Degree, or,

        BA or MA degree in case of application for Second Cycle of studies or Master's degree. Please remember that all of the above have to have their transcript of records attached.

    -   If your documents are issued in languages other than Polish or English they must be translated by a sworn translator. Documents translated into Polish need to be approved by the Polish embassy (an official stamp is enough). Translation into Polish is preferred by WSBU as it will significantly help in the future Validation of the High School degree (more on it you can find under the Legalisation, Apostille and Validation section).  

    -   Documents issued in the specified region must be Apostilled. You can inquire where this confirmation can be obtained in your governmental offices. Without Apostille your documents will not be considered for further admission.

    -   Insurance which covers your stay on the territory of Poland for the duration of your studies (can be renewed several times). Candidates who are working in Poland under the Employment agreement are most probably insured by the company. This insurance is accepted by WSBU and can be obtained in the HR office (Kadry) of your place of work.

    -   Passport size photo no older than 3 months. It is required to have it in both Electronic and physical versions.

  • Europe (outside of the EU and Schengen zone) and Central Asia

    Candidates from Europe (outside of the EU and Schengen zone) and Central Asia should provide the following:

    -  International Passport (internal ID card is not accepted).

    -  High School Diploma/Atestat (Атестат)/Certificate or diploma from professional College, or previously received Bachelors Diploma for application for the First Cycle of Studies, or,
       BA or MA degree in case of application for the Second Cycle of studies or MBA. Please remember that all of the above have to have their transcript of records attached.

    -  Filled in Certificate of Validation by the director of your School or Ministry of Education (can be found in the attachments section below).

    -  If your documents are issued in languages other than Polish or English they must be translated by a sworn translator. Documents translated into Polish need to be approved by the Polish embassy (an official stamp is enough). Translation into Polish is preferred by WSBU as it will significantly help in the future Validation of the High School degree (more on it you can find under the Legalisation, Apostille and Validation section).  

    -  Documents issued in the specified region must be Apostilled or Legalised (more on this please read the Legalisation, Apostille and Validation section). You can inquire where this confirmation can be obtained in your governmental offices. Without Apostille or Legalisation your documents will not be considered for further admission. Remember that Apostille and Legalisation has to be translated as well!

    -  Insurance which covers your stay on the territory of Poland for the duration of your studies for no less than 30 000 EUR (can be renewed several times). Candidates who are working in Poland under the Employment agreement are most probably insured by the company. This insurance is accepted by WSBU and can be obtained in the HR office (Kadry) of your place of work.

    -  Passport size photo no older than 3 months. It is required to have it in both Electronic and physical versions.

  • Africa, Asia and Oceania

    Candidates should provide the following:

    -  International Passport (internal ID card is not accepted).

    -  High School Diploma/Certificate or Diploma from professional College, or previously received Bachelors Diploma for application for First Cycle of Studies, or,
    BA or MA degree in case of application for Second Cycle of studies or MBA. Please remember that all of the above have to have their official transcript of records attached. Student copies or Drafts cannot and will not be accepted.

    -  Document from the Ministry of Education confirming the validity of the High School or College diploma.

    -  If your documents are issued in languages other than Polish or English they must be translated by a sworn translator. Documents translated into Polish need to be approved by the Polish embassy (an official stamp is enough). Translation into Polish is preferred by WSBU as it will significantly help in the future Validation of the High School degree (more on it you can find under the Legalisation, Apostille and Validation section).  

    -  Documents issued in the specified region must be Double or Triple Legalised (more on this in the Legalisation, Apostille and Validation section). You can inquire where this confirmation can be obtained in your governmental offices. The last legalisation is to be done in the Embassy of Poland. Without Apostille or Legalisation your documents will not be considered for further admission. Remember that all stamps and writings on the Legalisation have to be translated as well!

    -  Insurance which covers your stay on the territory of Poland for the duration of your studies (can be renewed several times). Candidates who are working in Poland under the Employment agreement are most probably insured by the company. This insurance is accepted by WSBU and can be obtained in the HR office (Kadry) of your place of work.

    -  Passport size photo no older than 3 months. It is required to have it in both Electronic and physical versions.

     

    As decided by the Ministry of Education in Poland an overall minimum grade has to be obtained by the candidates from the specified region. More can be found on the official NAWA website:

  • The Americas

    The applicants from this region have to provide the following:

    -  International Passport (internal ID card is not accepted).

    -  High School Diploma/Certificate or Diploma from professional College, or previously received Bachelors Diploma for application for First Cycle of Studies, or,
    BA or MA degree in case of application for Second Cycle of studies or MBA. Please remember that all of the above have to have their official transcript of records attached. Student copies or Drafts cannot and will not be accepted.

    -  Document from the Ministry of Education or high School/College confirming the validity of the High School or College diploma (template can be found in the attachment below).

    -  If your documents are issued in languages other than Polish or English they must be translated by a sworn translator. Documents translated into Polish need to be approved by the Polish embassy (an official stamp is enough). Translation into Polish is preferred by WSBU as it will significantly help in the future Validation of the High School/College degree (more on it you can find under the Legalisation, Apostille and Validation section).
