When using websites to find the traineeship, always check:

  1. If the traineeship listing is still active.
  2. If the traineeship follows the Erasmus+ program rules. For example, Erasmus+ traineeships must be full-time.
  3. Be in specific countries only.
  4. Last at least 2 months and at most 12 months.
  5. Not be done at the same time as another Erasmus+ program.

Make sure you meet the requirements in the listing and that the traineeship matches your study program.

  • RECRUITMENT PROCESS

    To apply for a traineeship, follow these two steps:

    1. Submit the online application form for the ERASMUS+ traineeship. In the form, specify where and when you would like to go. At this stage, you only need to express your interest; you don’t need approval from the host institution yet. The deadline for submitting the application forms is November 3, 2024.
    2. After deadline you will be invited to confirm your language skills (in the language of the country you are going to or the language in which you will do your traineeship). This test will take place at the Moodle, and you will be informed about the date via email. Students with a language certificate proving a minimum of B2 level) are exempt from this test.

    Have you completed the steps above? You are now an official candidate for the ERASMUS+ program! 

    Final qualification for the trip will happen after acceptance by the host institution.

  • GENERAL INFORMATION ABOUT TRAINEESHIP

    The Erasmus+ program offers the opportunity to complete a traineeship at a foreign company, organization or institution. This can be part of your study curriculum or an additional traineeship as a student or recent graduate. The traineeship duration can vary from 2 to 12 months. You may apply no earlier than the second semester of your engineering or bachelor's studies and participate no earlier than the third semester.

    During your stay, you will have the chance to gain practical experience in your field either in the language of the host country or in another language used by the hosting organization.

    Preparing for your traineeship involves two main steps:

    1. First, students must be selected based on their foreign language proficiency and academic achievements.
    2. After that, the host organization must approve the student based on their application.

    Each student going abroad will have a Learning Agreement for Traineeship created. This document is an agreement between the student, the host company/organization, and the home university, outlining the traineeship program the student will follow. The specifics of the traineeship will depend on the type of placement and the profile of the organization but must always relate to the student's field of study. All three parties must sign this agreement before the student departs. Modifications can be made to the agreement if accepted by all parties in writing. Successfully completing the agreed traineeship program will ensure it is credited by the home university (applicable to traineeships within the educational framework).

    In addition to the Learning Agreement, a contract must be signed with the home university that specifies the conditions of the trip, including scholarship disbursements and reporting. This contract covers aspects such as:

    • The length of stay at the host institution,
    • The scholarship amount,
    • Bank details,
    • Deadlines for financial settlement with the home university.
