Borrowing books

  • Ordering and borrowing books

Searching the Library's resources is possible through the On-line Catalog (Integro). Equipped with filters, it allows you to specify search criteria - the filter menu appears after entering any character (letter, number, symbol) in the search field.

More information about the books, including their availability in the Library and the possibility of ordering, appears after clicking the Details button. The items selected by the Reader are added to the Order Basket. To have them prepared for collection by Library employees, click the Send order button.

The waiting time for ordered books is 15 - 45 minutes. The Reader is informed by e-mail about the possibility of collecting them. Reserved items must be collected within a maximum of 3 business days from the date of order completion. After this period, the system will automatically cancel the order and the reserved books will become available to other Readers.

Borrowed items should be returned to the Library or using the book drop located at the entrance to the Library.

  • Extending the deadline for returning borrowed books

Prolongation, i.e. extending the deadline for returning borrowed items, can be made:

    • on-line by logging in to your library account - Extensions tab,
    • in person at the Library,
    • by e-mail (biblioteka@wsb.edu.pl),
    • by phone (tel. 32 295 93 56).

  • Reserving books borrowed by other readers

Readers can reserve borrowed books by logging in to their library account. Under the title of the selected item that is currently unavailable, there is an option button allowing you to reserve the book. The library system informs how many people are waiting for the borrowed item and which place we occupy in the queue.

  • Fee for late return of books

Returning books after the specified deadline will result in a fee being charged in accordance with the Library Regulations. The fee is not charged for days when the Library is closed. The Reader's account remains blocked until the liabilities are settled. After paying the fee and returning the books, the Reader can use the Library's resources again.
