The WSB University was represented at the event by Dr Alexandre Rui Castanho, Prof. AWSB, Dr Michał Szyszka and Ewelina Widerska.
The project's research and activities concern pollution of rivers, seas and oceans. SHORE will cover the Baltic Sea, the Black Sea, the Mediterranean Sea and the Danube and Rhine areas.
The WSB University is acting as the coordinator of the Polish 'Blue HUB', a place that from the new academic year will promote knowledge about the importance of and ways to counteract pollution of the seas and oceans. The project will include exhibitions, workshops, training, seminars, the 'Find the Blue' campaign and competitions for schoolchildren. During the 36 months of the project, 100 schools across Europe will be involved in environmental activities.
