On 22- 26 August 2022 prof. Martin Klatt from the University of Southern Denmark visited WSB Univerisity. Prof. Klatt, together with prof. Joanna Kurowska-Pysz, Director of the Institute for Territorial and Inter-Organisational Cooperation Studies, AWSB, conducted field research on the role of social media in the integration of national minorities in borderlands, primarily on the Polish-German and Polish-Czech borders. This research is carried out under the framework of the COST Action 18114 ENTAN "European Non-Territorial Autonomy Network" funded by Horizon 2020.
As part of the research, representatives of the following institutions were interviewed:
- Socio-Cultural Society of Germans in Silesian Voivodship,
- Mittendrin, Radio der deutchen Minderheit in Raciborz
- Polish Cultural and Educational Association in the Czech Republic
- Editorial office of the monthly magazine Zwrot in Český Těšín
- Polish Congress in the Czech Republic
- Editorial office of the daily newspaper Wochenblatt in Opole
The research will result in joint scientific publications, as well as a so-called policy paper on the role of social media in the integration of national minorities in border areas, which will be published on the COST ENTAN website.
