Release of Pilot Evaluation Report
After completing the ENTER-CBL pilot delivery of the NextGen Entrepreneurs course, we are releasing the Pilot Evaluation Report. This document captures what participants expected before the course, what they experienced after completing it, and how the Moodle-based ENTER-CBL Hub performed as a learning environment during the pilot.
The report is built on two short surveys distributed across the four participating higher education institutions, combined with platform analytics.
What the evaluation shows
- Clear strengths: The course was assessed as a successful and valuable learning experience, with high-quality instruction highlighted as a key factor. Participants most often valued practical tools and hands-on learning as the strongest part of the pilot.
- What participants valued most: Students pointed to structured frameworks (such as Theory of Change and Business Model Canvas), creativity techniques (such as Six Thinking Hats), teamwork and leadership development, and the sustainability focus as especially useful for entrepreneurship learning.
- Where the course can improve: Feedback consistently pointed to the need to strengthen real-world connection (more case studies and practical examples), refine course structure and workload (condense content, clearer instructions, avoid repetition), and increase interactivity through more group activities and peer feedback.
What the platform data adds
The report also includes Moodle Platform Usage and Results, offering an evidence-based view of engagement during the pilot. In total, 237 users completed activities on the platform. The scale of activity differed by institution (for example, WSB recorded 52,321 activity views and ESTG recorded 23,071). This variation is interpreted as a sign that the platform can support different institutional teaching models while still enabling monitoring, structure, and scalability.
In short, the Pilot Evaluation Report is a practical “evidence snapshot” of what worked, what should be adjusted, and how the platform can continue supporting high-impact Challenge-Based Learning in entrepreneurship education.
