10 Authorisations to Award Doctoral and Habilitated Doctoral Degrees for WSB University

WSB University has been awarded 10 scientific categories as a result of the evaluation of scientific activity conducted by the Ministry of Science and Higher Education for the years 2022–2025. This outcome confirms the University’s strong academic position and enables the further development of research activity and education at the highest level.

The categories awarded mean that key academic authorisations have been retained, including the right to award doctoral and habilitated doctoral degrees in 10 academic disciplines. WSB University also retains the possibility to operate doctoral schools and doctoral seminars, while strengthening its position in securing national and international research grants and implementing prestigious scientific projects.

Of particular note is the achievement of high categories in the disciplines of medical sciences and health sciences. Such a high assessment during the first participation of these disciplines in the evaluation confirms the dynamic development of the scientific potential of the Collegium Medicum – Faculty of Medicine of WSB University, as well as the University’s strong position in its developing research areas.

The evaluation results confirm the high quality of the research conducted by WSB University’s scholars, its impact on the development of science, and its practical importance for the economy and society. They also demonstrate effective cooperation with national and international partners, as well as the consistent implementation of the University’s development strategy.
