During the conference “Development of Technical and Medical Rescue in the KSRG over the Past 30 Years”, held on 4 September in Jastrzębie-Zdrój, Professor Marek Walancik, Director of the Center for Research and Education of Uniformed Services at WSB University, was awarded a commemorative medal marking the 30th anniversary of the National Firefighting and Rescue System (KSRG).
The distinction was conferred by the Silesian Provincial Commander of the State Fire Service, and the medal was presented by:
- Brigadier General Wojciech Kruczek, Chief Commander of the State Fire Service,
- Senior Brigadier Damian Legierski, Silesian Provincial Commander of the State Fire Service.
The award ceremony was part of a nationwide conference dedicated to the 30th anniversary of the KSRG, organized at the Municipal Cultural Center in Jastrzębie-Zdrój. The presence of representatives of the State Fire Service at both regional and national levels highlighted the importance of the jubilee, as well as the contributions of individuals and institutions that have supported the development of the national rescue system in Poland over the years.
Professor Marek Walancik has been actively collaborating with the community of uniformed services for many years. As Director of the Center operating within the structures of WSB University, he is responsible for education, research, and the development of competences in areas related to, among others, internal security, rescue operations, and crisis management.
