3rd Interdisciplinary Conference of Student Scientific Circles – a space for collaboration and innovation

The 3rd Interdisciplinary Conference of Student Scientific Circles at WSB University once again became a meeting place for diverse research perspectives, inspiring ideas, and engaged young researchers. The event was opened by Professor Marcin Lis, Vice-Rector for Student Affairs and External Relations. This was followed by the inaugural lecture delivered by Professor Marek Krzystanek, MD, PhD, Head of the Department of Psychiatry and Clinical and Environmental Psychology, entitled: “The Road to Success. Per aspera ad astra.”

In the main part, key projects of student scientific circles were presented: 

• IntiMind Student Scientific Circle – SleepWell and Care4Care projects concerning mental health, sleep quality, and stress reduction, 
• PsycheLab Student Scientific Circle – research on the impact of tryptophan on the well-being of young adults,
• ITLogis Student Scientific Circle – urban mobility and social inclusion in the context of sustainable development,
• Medical Simulation Student Scientific Circle – the use of ultrasound (USG) simulation in medical education,
• project of the European Solidarity Corps – EKSPonad.  

Thematic modules – medical-social, business-technological, and security-related – enabled representatives of other actively operating student scientific circles at WSB University to present their research, analyses, and projects. 

The conference confirmed that interdisciplinarity constitutes a real value in the process of knowledge creation and the development of young researchers.
