The doctoral dissertation of Dr Jacek Kiera, a lecturer at WSB University, received a distinction in the 4th edition of the National Competition for the Best Doctoral Dissertation, “Europe and Its Close Neighbourhood”, organised by the Poznań Branch of the Polish Political Science Association.
The distinguished dissertation is entitled “Information Warfare in the Foreign Policy of the Russian Federation towards Poland in 2010–2022.” In his dissertation, the author analysed the tools and mechanisms of Russian information warfare targeting Poland over more than a decade preceding the full-scale aggression against Ukraine.
The “Europe and Its Close Neighbourhood” competition recognises the best doctoral dissertations in the discipline of political science and public administration, as well as in related disciplines, focusing on Europe and its immediate neighbourhood.
Dr Jacek Kiera is a lawyer and political scientist specialising in contemporary international relations. As an academic teacher at WSB University, he is affiliated with the Department of Security Studies.
