WSB University has succeeded in the Erasmus+ Capacity Building in Higher Education (CBHE) call for the third consecutive year. In the 2026 call, three further projects involving the University were selected for funding, and in one of them, TECH4COIL, WSB University coordinates the entire international consortium.
CBHE is the international component of the Erasmus+ programme, in which universities from Europe work together with partners from other regions of the world to develop new study programmes, teaching methods and forms of cooperation with the economy. For students, this means more online classes with peers from abroad, projects with employers, internships and the skills that the labour market is genuinely looking for.
In the three new consortia, WSB University is cooperating with 20 international universities and organisations from 9 countries and territories. The geographical reach is impressive: from the Western Balkans all the way to Papua New Guinea.
TECH4COIL (coordinated by WSB University) permanently integrates international online classes, known as COIL, into university systems in the Western Balkans. The project includes shared spaces for teamwork, peer feedback, learning analytics and chatbot support, while students gain practical experience of working in international teams. Partners: Portugal, Albania, Kosovo.
UNI2CARE is building an artificial intelligence-based career ecosystem for students in Uzbekistan and Tajikistan. AI will help them identify their strengths, detect competency gaps and develop individual development plans covering training, internships and specific career paths. Partners: Uzbekistan, Tajikistan, Romania.
GREEN PNG develops green entrepreneurship in Papua New Guinea by linking university education with work in sectors undergoing climate transformation, such as green ports, forestry and renewable energy. The programmes are being developed on the basis of the European EntreComp and GreenComp competence frameworks, while students learn through practical experience and internships. Partners: Papua New Guinea, Croatia, Belgium, Poland.
This year’s success is part of a broader series of achievements. Across three consecutive calls (2024–2026), WSB University has become a partner or coordinator in nine CBHE projects, the highest number among Polish universities. Their themes range from green and digital transformation, artificial intelligence, entrepreneurship and dual education to academic integrity and the internationalisation of studies. The geographical scope of the partnerships is equally broad: from Ukraine and Kenya, through Central Asia, all the way to the Philippines.
