A ceremonial meeting was held in the Archdiocese of Wrocław, during which an agreement on scientific cooperation between the Archdiocese of Wrocław and WSB University was signed. The document was signed by: Auxiliary Bishop of the Archdiocese of Wrocław – Dr. Maciej Małyga, and the Vice-Rector for International Cooperation of WSB University – Dr. Rafał Rębilas.
The meeting was also attended by: Professor Bernard Wiśniewski – Director of the Center for Research Methodology in Security Sciences, and Rev. Dr. Michał Mraczek.
The agreement concerns the implementation of joint scientific research in the field of the safety of participants in religious ceremonies and the protection of sacred facilities. The cooperation provides for the preparation of comprehensive analyses and guidelines aimed at increasing safety during mass religious events.
In the face of the growing number of participants and emerging threats in public spaces, ensuring safety in places where large groups of people gather is becoming particularly important. The signed agreement will enable the use of specialized knowledge in the field of security, as well as the experience of the ecclesiastical community, to develop effective solutions for the protection of participants and religious infrastructure, including risk analysis and the implementation of practical procedures.
The concluded agreement constitutes a continuation of long-standing cooperation, resulting from conferences organized over the past eleven years, and marks a new stage of activities of the Archdiocese of Wrocław and WSB University in the field of security.
