Dr Damian Strojny Participates in a Prestigious Programme of the Ministry of Science and Higher Education

We are pleased to announce that Damian Strojny, MD, PhD in Medical and Health Sciences, Assistant Professor at the Collegium Medicum - Faculty of Medicine of WSB University, will participate in the project entitled “Strengthening the Substantive and Managerial Competencies of Staff of Representative Institutions of the Higher Education and Science Community”, implemented by the Ministry of Science and Higher Education.

The aim of the project is to enhance the managerial, cross-cutting, and substantive competencies of representatives of the academic community involved in the activities of institutions cooperating with the Ministry of Science and Higher Education in the development of the higher education and science system in Poland.

As part of the project, Dr Damian Strojny will represent WSB University during a study visit to University College London (UCL) - one of the world’s highest-ranked universities - which will take place in London from 12 to 18 July 2026.

The study visit programme includes familiarising participants with the latest trends and best practices in higher education, particularly in the areas of:

  • the use of modern teaching methods, including tools based on artificial intelligence,
  • the development of academic staff competencies,
  • shaping future-oriented competencies among students,
  • building international partnerships and scientific cooperation,
  • implementing joint research and educational projects,
  • cooperation between universities and research institutes and their socio-economic environment, including business.

Participation in the project is not only a distinction for our University, but also an opportunity to gain valuable experience and best practices that may be applied in the further development of educational, scientific, and organisational processes carried out at the Collegium Medicum and throughout WSB University.

The project “Strengthening the Substantive and Managerial Competencies of Staff of Representative Institutions of the Higher Education and Science Community” is implemented under the European Funds for Social Development 2021–2027 Programme and is co-financed by the European Social Fund Plus (ESF+).
