Ethics, Rehabilitation and a United Front Against Workplace Bullying: Another WSB University Agreement with the Prison Service

WSB University will be responsible for the professional development of officers and employees of the Prison Service. Our University has signed a cooperation agreement with the Central Training Centre of the Prison Service in Kule.

The document was signed at the Centre’s headquarters in Kule by Prof. Marek Walancik, Director of the Centre for Research and Education of Uniformed Services, and Lieutenant Colonel Tomasz Bąk, Commandant of the Central Training Centre of the Prison Service. Training forms the foundation of this cooperation. WSB University has declared that it will delegate its lecturers to conduct classes for the Centre’s officers and employees, primarily in preventive and rehabilitation pedagogy, professional ethics, soft skills, and counteracting discrimination and workplace bullying. In turn, the Central Training Centre of the Prison Service will provide the University, at least once a year, with a list of its staff’s training needs so that the educational offer responds to actual gaps.

However, the cooperation extends beyond the classroom. The parties have announced joint conferences, congresses, symposia and seminars, scientific and research-and-development cooperation, including in the optimisation of the educational cycle, as well as mutual access to teaching facilities and the exchange of experience. Their shared goal is to modernise the forms of professional development offered to prison service personnel, both in substantive and organisational terms.
