The ceremony brought together the University authorities, academic staff, thesis supervisors, and the graduates’ relatives. It was an important moment summarising education at the Master's level and confirming the acquisition of advanced competences and specialised knowledge.
The gala was opened by Professor Marcin Lis, Vice-Rector for Student Affairs and External Relations, who in his speech, highlighted the importance of consciously building one’s career path and the role of practical competences in a changing socio-economic environment. He also emphasised the significance of the University’s cooperation with the business environment and the achievements of WSB University graduates.

During the ceremony, distinctions were awarded for the best diploma theses and for very high academic performance. In the 2025/2026 academic year, upon the recommendation of supervisors and reviewers, the Rector of WSB University awarded distinctions to the authors of 25 diploma theses, and 11 graduates received distinctions for very good academic results.
