The guests were then welcomed by Prof. Marcin Lis, who, in his address, emphasised the importance of the education the graduates had received, their professional development, and the achievements of WSB University students and graduates.

Awards for the Best Graduates
One of the most important parts of the ceremony was the presentation of awards recognising outstanding academic performance, the best bachelor's and master's theses, exceptional commitment to the educational process, and sporting achievements.

In the 2025/2026 academic year, upon the recommendation of thesis supervisors and reviewers, the Rector of WSB University honoured the authors of 17 bachelor's and master's theses. Awards for outstanding academic performance were also presented to four graduates of first-cycle, second-cycle, and long-cycle master's degree programmes.

The graduates recognised for achieving the highest grade point average were:

  • Izabela Ładoń – graduate of the Emergency Medical Services programme.

During the ceremony, the authors of the best diploma theses in the fields of Physiotherapy, Cosmetology, and Emergency Medical Services were also honoured. The awards were presented by thesis supervisors and representatives of the University's authorities.

Recognition was also given to graduates who demonstrated exceptional commitment to the educational process within the Emergency Medical Services programme. The special distinction and the title of Best Class Representatives were awarded to Piotr Okrzesik and Marcin Błach.

Awards were also presented to graduates who achieved outstanding sporting success. The recipients were Maciej Marczyk, Kacper Joachim, and Michał Foltyn. Michał Foltyn also received an additional distinction for the best diploma thesis.

Emergency Medical Services Graduates' Professional Oath
A particularly solemn and symbolic moment of the ceremony was the taking of the professional oath by the graduates of the Emergency Medical Services programme.

The graduates pledged to perform the profession of an emergency medical rescuer with dignity, protect human life and health, provide assistance to those in need, and act with respect for the dignity of every patient.

The oath also included commitments to uphold the principles of professional ethics, continuously develop professional skills, practise in accordance with current medical knowledge, maintain professional confidentiality, and cooperate with other healthcare professionals with respect and goodwill.

It was a significant moment, highlighting the responsibility associated with the profession of an emergency medical rescuer and the graduates' readiness to provide assistance in situations involving threats to health and life.

Musical Setting of the Ceremony
Following the official part of the event, participants enjoyed an artistic performance by Marta Sitek, leader of the band Need For Strings. The ensemble combines the energy of rock and metal music with the sound of classical string instruments.

The performance provided a moment of reflection and relaxation and served as a distinctive complement to the ceremonial atmosphere of the event.

Presentation of Diplomas
The highlight of the ceremony was the presentation of diplomas to graduates of the Cosmetology, Emergency Medical Services, and Physiotherapy programmes.

The graduates were invited onto the stage one by one to receive their diplomas from the Vice-Deans, thesis supervisors, academic staff, and representatives of the WSB University authorities. Each presentation was accompanied by congratulations, applause, and commemorative photographs.

For the graduates, this was a symbolic moment marking the completion of an important stage of their education and the beginning of a new chapter of professional development, further education, and gaining experience within their chosen specialisations.

The ceremony concluded with closing remarks by Prof. Marcin Lis. Following the official proceedings, participants were invited to take group photographs, family pictures at the commemorative photo wall, and enjoy refreshments.
