Graduation Ceremony for WSB University Graduates in Gliwice

Joy, emotion, and pride accompanied WSB University graduates as they celebrated the successful completion of an important stage of their education. The Graduation Ceremony took place on 14 July 2026 in Gliwice.

The event was attended by first-cycle and second-cycle graduates of the following programmes: English Philology, Computer Science, Cosmetology, Emergency Medical Services, and Management. They were joined by representatives of the University's authorities, thesis supervisors, invited guests, as well as their families and loved ones.

The ceremony began with the traditional entrance of the WSB University Senate procession. The guests were welcomed by Dr Aleksandra Klimek-Lakomy, Vice-Dean of WSB University, who congratulated the graduates on completing their studies and emphasised the importance of knowledge, continuous development, and the courage to embrace future professional challenges.

Recognition of the Best Graduates
A particularly important part of the event was the recognition of graduates who achieved outstanding academic results and prepared the best diploma theses. In the 2025/2026 academic year, the authors of 21 diploma theses were honoured, while seven graduates received awards for their outstanding academic performance.

The awards were presented by representatives of the University's authorities and the graduates' thesis supervisors. It was a symbolic recognition of the graduates' consistent hard work, commitment, and perseverance throughout their studies.

Emergency Medical Services Graduates' Professional Oath
A particularly solemn moment of the ceremony was the taking of the Emergency Medical Rescuer's Oath. The graduates pledged to provide assistance to those in need, protect human life and health, uphold the principles of professional ethics, and continuously improve their professional skills.

The oath was read by Dr Jarosław Madowicz, Director of the Provincial Specialist Hospital in Rybnik. The ceremony reflected the graduates' sense of responsibility, their readiness to serve others, and their respect for the profession of an emergency medical rescuer.

The graduates of all programmes then received their diplomas from representatives of the WSB University authorities and their thesis supervisors. Each presentation was accompanied by congratulations and enthusiastic applause from the assembled guests.

A Musical Finale
The artistic highlight of the ceremony was a performance by Jarosław Spałek - trumpeter, cornet player, and educator - together with Dr Klaudiusz Jania - conductor, composer, arranger, and pianist. Their concert provided an elegant and atmospheric conclusion to the event.

The ceremony concluded with commemorative photographs of the graduates, members of the University's authorities, and thesis supervisors. Guests were also invited to enjoy refreshments and had the opportunity to take family photographs.

We extend our heartfelt congratulations to all our graduates. We wish you the courage to pursue your ambitions, every success in your professional and personal lives, and lasting satisfaction from your continued development. We hope that your time at WSB University will remain a source of cherished memories and inspiration for many years to come.
