Is it possible to look at the same places that inspired a great creator two centuries ago and to find one’s own emotions in them? An answer to this question is offered by Jacek Cygan in his book "Ciao Goethe. Śladami Goethego w Italii". The author spoke about the emotions brought back from Italy and captured in the publication during a special meeting at WSB University.
The Auditorium Maximum filled to capacity best demonstrated that the work and personality of Jacek Cygan continue to attract successive generations of audiences. The author spoke about his many-year journey following in the footsteps of Johann Wolfgang von Goethe, juxtaposing the latter’s notes with his own experiences. At the center of this narrative was the question of what remains unchanged and what is still capable of moving us.

The meeting also had an artistic dimension. Appearing on stage was the “Young Goethe,” portrayed by Marcin Januszkiewicz, who introduced the audience to the world of emotions and creativity of the book’s protagonist.
It was an event about a journey, not only through places, but above all through experiences that allow for a deeper understanding of oneself.
