Innovations Have Personality. Prof. Marcin Lis awarded the title of “Personality of the Year 2025”

Prof. Marcin Lis, Vice-Rector for Student Affairs and External Relations at WSB University, became a laureate of the national final of the “Personality of the Year 2025” plebiscite in the Innovations/New Technologies category, taking 3rd place in Poland.

“Personality of the Year” is a title awarded to individuals who develop modern solutions, implement innovations, and use new technologies in business, science, education, and social life. In the case of Prof. Marcin Lis, the jury and voters recognised his expert activity in the field of quality systems, management of innovative projects and integrated systems, as well as his consistent sharing of knowledge and experience at WSB University.

The national gala for the laureates took place on 9 May at the Great Hall of the Royal Castle in Warsaw. It was the culmination of the plebiscite organised by the Polska Press Group, conducted by regional newspapers and online portals throughout Poland. The finalists included regional laureates and winners of the national stage – individuals distinguished by their social, professional, scientific, cultural, local government, and technological activities.

This year’s edition was expanded to include the Innovations/New Technologies category, which particularly highlights the importance of individuals who are able to combine knowledge, practice, and responsibility for the development of their environment. Among the laureates in this category was Prof. Marcin Lis, representing WSB University and the Silesian Voivodeship.
