On 22 July 2026, the Auditorium Maximum at WSB University hosted the International Students’ Graduation Gala for first- and second-cycle degree graduates from the Dąbrowa Górnicza campus. The ceremony was a special occasion to celebrate years of learning, development and the acquisition of competences in an international academic environment.
The event brought together graduates of first-cycle degree programmes in International Relations, Management and Computer Science, as well as second-cycle degree programmes in Management, Computer Science, Financial Management and Accounting, and English in Management. The graduates were accompanied by representatives of the University authorities, thesis supervisors, academic staff, family members and friends.

The ceremony began with the entrance of the WSB University Senate procession. The guests were welcomed by Prof. Łukasz Sułkowski, President of WSB University, who emphasised the importance of the knowledge, skills and experience acquired in building the graduates’ future professional paths.
An important part of the gala was recognising individuals who had achieved very high academic results and prepared outstanding diploma theses. In the 2025/2026 academic year, at the request of supervisors and reviewers, the authors of 34 diploma theses were honoured. Seven graduates received awards for very good academic results, and two special awards were also presented.
The Global Spirit Award was presented to Benazir Akmatova for her outstanding representation of WSB University internationally and for her bachelor’s thesis entitled The Power of Storytelling in Sales: Case Study of Successful Brand Campaigns. The Ambassador of Positive Energy Award was presented to Percival Mahwaya, the author of the master’s thesis entitled Applying Machine Learning to Crime Hotspot Prediction: A Decision Support Model for Public Safety Resource Allocation.
During the gala, graduates with the highest grade point averages in their respective programmes were also recognised. The award recipients included Iryna Yarmoliuk, Emiliia Yakovlieva, Areeha Usman, Harsh Rawat, Amro Shehada, Turkan Shahbazova and Jenefer Yago.

The culmination of the ceremony was the presentation of diplomas by thesis supervisors and representatives of the University authorities. It was a time of emotion, congratulations and shared photographs, as well as a symbolic conclusion to an important stage of academic life.
