International workshops about Colombia at a partner school of WSB University

A student of the International Business programme at WSB University - Luisa 
Tapasco from Colombia – together with students of English Philology 
conducted workshops for pupils of a bilingual class at the Primary School No. 45 named after Janusz Korczak in Sosnowiec. The event was also attended by Dr Łukasz Mencner, a lecturer at WSB University, and Dr Karina Wojtusiak, PhD in health sciences, Vice-Dean of the Faculty of Applied Sciences at WSB University. 

The classes were conducted in English and were devoted to the culture, everyday life, customs, and natural environment of Colombia. The workshops had an interactive character, and their format supported both the development of students’ language competences and the expansion of their knowledge about the world through direct contact with a person
 originating from the country being discussed. 

The initiative is an example of the practical dimension of the internationalisation of WSB University and its cooperation with educational institutions. It also provides a space in which students can develop their competences in action 
by sharing knowledge and experience with younger participants of the educational process.
