Dr Damian Strojny, MD, PhD in Health Sciences, Assistant Professor at Collegium Medicum the Faculty of Medicine of WSB University, conducted training in BLS - Basic Life Support during a mission in Kenya.
The training was primarily practical in nature. Participants learned the principles of providing first aid and practised actions that can be crucial in life-threatening situations.
Manikins donated by benefactors from Poland were used during the sessions. The equipment enabled participants to practise basic BLS procedures and gain practical skills related to responding in emergency situations.
The sessions took place at a school built by the Moyo Mzuri Foundation – the Good Heart Foundation. This was the first BLS training conducted by Dr Damian Strojny during this mission in Kenya.

Emergency Medical Services - Knowledge Combined with Practice
Dr Damian Strojny’s work demonstrates how knowledge and experience in the field of emergency medical services can also be used in initiatives with an international dimension.
At WSB University, education in the Emergency Medical Services programme combines theoretical preparation with the development of practical competencies needed to act in situations where knowledge, skills and an appropriate response are crucial.
