Legalisation of Stay – Important Information for Students from Outside the EU

Are you planning to stay in Poland longer than permitted by your visa or visa-free travel arrangement? Remember to submit an application for a temporary residence permit for the purpose of studying. As of 27 April 2026, all applications must be submitted exclusively online via the MOS system (Case Handling Module): https://mos.cudzoziemcy.gov.pl

The new electronic system partially replaces the paper certificates previously issued by the university for residence proceedings purposes. After providing the university’s e-mail address in the MOS system, an authorised employee of WSB University will receive an electronic form (attachment) to complete in order to confirm the student’s status and information regarding the course of studies.

When submitting your application, please provide the appropriate university e-mail address corresponding to the Faculty at which you study:

• Dąbrowa Górnicza → mos.dabrowa@wsb.edu.pl
• Kraków → mos.krakow@wsb.edu.pl
• Warszawa → mos.warszawa@wsb.edu.pl

The following documents, among others, may be required when submitting the application:

• a valid passport,
• documents confirming the purpose of studying,
• confirmation of sufficient financial means,
• a document confirming place of residence,
• valid health insurance,
• a photograph compliant with official requirements.

Depending on the individual situation, the office may also request additional documents.

Please remember to submit your application before the expiry date of your current residence document.
