Olkusz Water Supply and Sewage Company Becomes a Partner of WSB University

WSB University continues to expand its cooperation with representatives of the water and wastewater sector, combining educational activities with practical experience. Another step in this direction is the signing of a cooperation agreement with Olkusz Water Supply and Sewage Company.

The agreement was signed by Prof. Marcin Lis, Vice-Rector for Student Affairs and External Relations at WSB University, and Tadeusz Chwast, President of the Management Board of Olkusz Water Supply and Sewage Company.

The cooperation encompasses activities aimed at competence development, exchange of experience, and the implementation of educational and developmental initiatives related to the operation of modern water and wastewater utility enterprises. The partnership also creates opportunities for further strengthening the practical dimension of education and cooperation with the regional business community.

It is worth emphasising that WSB University has been developing an educational offer dedicated also to representatives of the water utility sector for many years. One example is the Executive MBA for the Water Utility Sector programme delivered by the University - a unique programme on a national scale, designed for current and future managers of the water and wastewater sector. The programme combines knowledge in management, finance, and modern operational processes with practical solutions used within the industry.

During the visit, the guests were introduced to the Prof. Kazimierz Imieliński Medical Simulation Centre - a modern educational facility of the WSB University Collegium Medicum, equipped with advanced medical simulators and specialised laboratories that enable the practical training of future medical professionals.

The signed agreement constitutes another element of WSB University’s efforts to build long-term relationships with business partners and to create a modern educational offer that responds to labour market needs and the challenges faced by contemporary organisations.
