Participants of the 9th edition of the Academic Legion received certificates of completion of the non-commissioned officer module

On 23 May this year, a ceremonial event was held at WSB University in Dąbrowa Górnicza to present certificates confirming the completion of the theoretical part of the non-commissioned officer module as part of the 9th edition of the Academic Legion programme.

The event marked the culmination of the commitment and involvement of students participating in the programme, which combines academic education with defence training and the development of competencies useful in the fields of security and public service.

The ceremony was hosted by Professor Marek Walancik, Director of the Centre for Research and Education of Uniformed Services at WSB University, and Lieutenant Tomasz Zygmunt, representing the Central Military Recruitment Centre – Branch Office in Katowice. During the meeting, participants received certificates confirming the completion of the theoretical part of the non-commissioned officer module of the Academic Legion.

The ceremony also provided an opportunity to emphasise the importance of cooperation between the university and institutions responsible for the development of pro-defence initiatives and for shaping young people’s awareness in the field of security.
