The diploma text was read and the diploma was presented by Prof. Katarzyna Szczepańska-Woszczyna, Vice-Rector for Science and Education at the WSB University. During the ceremony, the audience listened to laudations and reviews highlighting Prof. Fisher’s scientific achievements and his profound impact on the advancement of modern medicine.
Subsequently, we had the honor of hearing Prof. David E. Fisher’s lecture, in which he presented the results of his research on melanoma and skin pigmentation and shared reflections on the future directions of scientific inquiry.
Supervisor: Dr hab. n. med. Tomasz Gąsior, Prof. AWSB (Collegium Medicum)
Reviewers: Prof. Aaron Ciechanover – Nobel Laureate in Chemistry (2004); Prof. Lidia Rudnicka, Honorary Chair of the Polish Dermatological Society
A special highlight of the ceremony was a concert performed by the FeelHarmony Quartet from the Karol Szymanowski Philharmonic in Kraków, featuring soprano Magdalena Drozd, which beautifully reflected Prof. Fisher’s second great passion – music.
