Professor Marcin Lis, Vice-Rector for Student Affairs and Cooperation with the Environment at WSB University, has been elected to the Programme Council of the Silesia Automotive & Advanced Manufacturing Cluster for the 2026–2029 term.
This continues his involvement in the development of one of the most important industrial
cooperation environments in Poland.
The decision was approved during the Cluster Participants’ Assembly, which took place in Piekary Śląskie. In the new term of the Programme Council, alongside WSB University, the following entities are also represented: Anzena, Astor, Brembo Poland, EMT Systems, Ficomirrors Polska, ISCAR Poland, Jantar, Johnson Matthey Poland, Katowice Special
Economic Zone, Marco, Marelli Bielsko-Biała Poland, NGK Ceramics Polska, Silesian University of Technology, Polmotors, PROTECH, Rhenus Automotive Assembly, SQD Alliance, and ZF Braking Systems Poland representing a broad spectrum of modern industry and research and development facilities.
The Silesia Automotive & Advanced Manufacturing Cluster, coordinated by the Katowice Special Economic Zone S.A., is today one of the most important cooperation platforms
connecting business, science, and business environment institutions. It brings together leaders of the automotive and advanced manufacturing sectors, from global
corporations to specialized technology companies, as well as universities and research units. The Cluster has been awarded the prestigious Key National Cluster certificate,
granted by the Ministry of Entrepreneurship and Technology to clusters of significant,
strategic importance to the national economy and high international competitiveness.
