“Safe travels, it is time to go.” Closing Ceremony of BIP 2026

Oh, what a week it was – from Monday to Friday, 11–15 May, the Warsaw Faculty of WSB University became the centre of an international debate on the present and future of the European Union. During the Blended Intensive Programme 2026 (BIP), several dozen students and lecturers from Portugal, Lithuania, the Netherlands, Bosnia and Herzegovina, as well as Brazil, Colombia, and Georgia searched for answers to the most important questions concerning EU-related issues and the challenges facing the Community. Participants discussed, among other topics, the rule of law and democracy in the European Union, intercultural psychology, the functioning and future of the euro currency, mental health in the digital era, as well as cybersecurity and the judiciary. “The group was exceptionally well prepared. Classes and lectures always led to lively discussions. It is clear that this topic – the future of the Old Continent – evokes emotions and a need for dialogue, especially in today’s uncertain times,” notes
Dr Katarzyna Gajewska, Vice-Rector of WSB University Warsaw and coordinator of BIP ’26.

On Friday, 15 May, the meeting came to an end. The culmination was a ceremony for the presentation of special certificates, held in the auditorium of the Palace of Culture and Science. Participants of BIP ’26 received diplomas as well as unique gadgets branded with the WSB University logo.

In addition to classes held at the university, Blended Intensive Programme 2026 also provided an opportunity to familiarise participants with the history of Poland and Warsaw – among the cultural institutions visited were the Royal Castle, the Copernicus Science Centre, and the Warsaw Uprising Museum. “While preparing the programme of the event, we wanted to maintain the right balance between the very intensive work during workshops and lectures, and time spent outside the university. For a large number of participants of this year’s BIP, it was their very first visit to our country. We believe they are leaving enriched not only with academic experiences, but also with knowledge about Poland,” says Andrzej Grzegrzółka, Head of Marketing Communication at WSB University – Warsaw Faculty and co-organiser of BIP ’26.
“We managed to complete all points of the programme. We are very satisfied with our stay in Warsaw. It was an inspiring time, important not only for all students, but also for the academic staff,” assesses Prof. Audrius Ivanauskas from Mykolas Romeris University in Vilnius.

The Blended Intensive Programme is implemented within the framework of the Erasmus+ programme. BIP represents modern forms of education focused on international cooperation and the search for a common path towards addressing the most important challenges facing Europe.
