Silesian Conference of Medical Professions 2026 – cooperation, practice, and the future of healthcare

“Cooperation, practice, education, future” – under this motto, the Silesian Conference of Medical Professions was organized at WSB University in Dąbrowa Górnicza. The event brought together a wide range of representatives of the medical community—both in person and online. In the Maximum Auditorium of our University alone, the conference was followed by more than 250 participants, while over five hundred joined via the network.

The conference was addressed to nurses, midwives, pharmacists, medical caregivers, healthcare professionals, as well as students and attendees of medical schools. Its aim was to integrate the community and to exchange experiences and best practices in the context of the dynamically changing challenges of the healthcare system. The conference program included a plenary session and thematic panels devoted, among others, to the legal aspects of practicing medical professions, patient communication, workplace safety, vaccinations, as well as the use of artificial intelligence in medicine.

An important element of the event was the parallel specialist sessions—medical care and pharmaceutical—which enabled participants to deepen their knowledge in selected areas of professional practice. Practical workshops also attracted considerable interest, including sessions on the application of AI in diagnostics, modern technologies in patient care, and glucose level monitoring.

The conference was also an opportunity to become familiar with the educational offer of the Collegium Medicum of WSB University and to take part in preventive screenings and demonstrations, such as blood pressure and blood glucose measurements, as well as an aging simulation using VR technology.
