Success of WSB University - Businet and Meeting with the Vice Mayor of Antwerp

The Academic Mobility Coordinator Gabriela Węglarz and the Specialist for International Cooperation and Promotion Marta Masłyk achieved great success during this year's edition of the Businet Student Conference held in Antwerp, Belgium. The event took place at the Campus National of Thomas More University, where WSB University was also represented by students: female participants from Kyrgyzstan and a male student from Ethiopia. Together, they took part in an inspiring educational program that enriched them with valuable experiences and skills.

This year, the central theme of the conference focused on sustainable fashion, as participants explored how the industry can evolve towards greater ethics and environmental responsibility. Through hands-on workshops, real-world challenges, and dynamic discussions, they developed critical thinking, teamwork, and problem-solving skills - essential for thriving in today’s global job market.

For over two decades, the Businet Student Conference has gathered students from around the world and has become one of the key initiatives promoting intercultural cooperation and international development. The participation of WSB University representatives in this prestigious conference not only strengthened the university's global presence but also emphasized its commitment to student growth through Experiential Learning in an inspiring international environment.

A unique highlight of this visit was a meeting at Antwerp City Hall with Vice Mayor Nabilla Ait Daoud, who also serves as the Flemish Minister of Youth, Childcare, Environment, and Animal Welfare. Discussions with such an influential figure underscore the importance of WSB University on the international stage and solidify its collaboration with Belgian institutions. This meeting marks a significant step in building relationships with the city and educational partners in Antwerp.

Participation in the Businet Student Conference and the dialogue at Antwerp City Hall are events that align with WSB University's strategy of strengthening its position in the global education market and developing international cooperation.
