The Catholic Secondary School Complex No. 1 named after Blessed Fr. Emil Szramek in Katowice has joined the group of schools cooperating with Akademia WSB. The signed agreement on cooperation and patronage opens new development opportunities for students and strengthens the relationship between the school and academic communities.
The agreement was concluded on April 10, 2026, at Akademia WSB in Dąbrowa Górnicza. The document was signed by Dr. hab. Marek Walancik, Prof. AWSB – Director of the Center for Research and Education of Uniformed Services at Akademia WSB, and Dr. Andrzej Kita – Director of the Catholic Secondary School Complex No. 1 in Katowice. The meeting was also attended by Barbara Woźniak – Director of the Center for Promotion and Information of Akademia WSB, and Dr. Krzysztof Justyński – Vice-Dean for Education at Akademia WSB.
The cooperation assumes the implementation of joint educational and scientific activities, including students’ participation in workshops, lectures, and events organized by Akademia WSB. The school will also join the Akademia WSB Partner Schools Club, which will allow students to better understand the university’s educational offer and the realities of studying.
The agreement also includes cooperation in organizing internships, supporting teachers in their professional development, and implementing initiatives promoting the scientific achievements of Akademia WSB. The joint activities will be aimed at developing students’ competencies and preparing them for further education and functioning in the labor market.
The signed agreement constitutes another step in building lasting educational partnerships and creating real opportunities for young people to develop and consciously plan their educational and career paths.
