Joint educational projects, the development of students’ competencies, and a modern approach to education—these are the main objectives of the cooperation between WSB University and the VI General Secondary School named after Janusz Korczak in Sosnowiec. The agreement was signed on April 1, 2026.
The school was represented by MA Paweł Lekszycki – Headmaster of the VI General Secondary School named after Janusz Korczak in Sosnowiec. The meeting was also attended by: Dr. hab. Marek Walancik, Prof. AWSB – Chair of the Scientific Discipline Council for Pedagogy, Director of the Center for Research and Education of Uniformed Services at WSB University; Dr. Aleksandra Klimek-Lakomy – Vice-Dean of the Faculty of Applied Sciences; and MA Dorota Dębosz – Vice-Dean of the Faculty of Applied Sciences at WSB University.
The signed agreement opens up new opportunities for cooperation in the field of education and competency development. The partners plan to implement joint educational and scientific projects, organize internships and development initiatives, as well as activities aimed at improving the qualifications of pupils and students through training and postgraduate studies.
The cooperation also includes the co-creation of modern educational programs tailored to the needs of a changing labor market. Particular emphasis will be placed on the development of digital and professional competencies, the implementation of innovative teaching methods, and supporting young people in consciously planning their educational and career paths.
Thanks to the partnership, pupils will gain access to academic knowledge and practical experience, while students of WSB University will have the opportunity to develop their competencies within an educational environment, already at the secondary school level.
The signed agreement constitutes another step in building cooperation between WSB University and schools in the region, as well as in developing modern forms of education that respond to the challenges of the contemporary labor market.
