Upper Silesian Educational Center in Gliwice joins the group of schools under the patronage of WSB University

The Upper Silesian Educational Center named after Maria Skłodowska-Curie in Gliwice – Technical Secondary School No. 2  has joined the group of schools cooperating with WSB University.

The signed cooperation and patronage agreement opens up new development opportunities for students training in the profession of hairdressing technician.

The agreement was concluded on April 9, 2026, at WSB University in Dąbrowa Górnicza. The document was signed by Prof. Marcin Lis, Vice-Rector for Student Affairs and Cooperation with the Environment at WSB University, and M.A. Bogumiła Kluszczyńska, Director of the Upper Silesian Educational Center in Gliwice.

The meeting was also attended by Barbara Woźniak, Director of the Promotion and Information Center of WSB University, and Dr. Grzegorz Matuszek, Vice-Dean for Education at WSB University.

The aim of the cooperation is to provide patronage over a class with a hairdressing technician profile and to develop educational initiatives connecting the school and academic environments. As part of the partnership, students will be able to participate in workshops, lectures, and events organized by WSB University, as well as learn about opportunities for further education and professional development.

The agreement also provides for the organization of vocational internships, support for teachers in improving their competencies, and cooperation in developing modern educational programs that respond to labor market needs.

The signed agreement constitutes another step in building lasting educational partnerships and creating real opportunities for students to develop competencies and consciously plan their career paths.
