Visit of the Daugavpils University Delegation to WSB University – A New Perspective on Scientific Cooperation

On Tuesday, April 8th, WSB University hosted representatives from Daugavpils University in Latvia – one of the leading regional universities in Central and Eastern Europe. The delegation included Prof. Jānis Teivāns-Treinovskis, Vice-Rector for Science, Prof. Irēna Kokina, Rector from 2018 to 2023, and Dr. Igors Trofimovs, Chairman of the Senate and security expert.

Daugavpils University is a partner of the OpenEU European Universities Alliance,

while WSB University is the leader of the Q-Helix Alliance.

The purpose of the meeting was to establish cooperation in the field of scientific research and to develop joint study programs, particularly related to civil and economic security.

Founded in 1921, Daugavpils University is now the largest regional state university in Latvia and an active member of prestigious educational organizations in Europe. The visit of Latvian scientists is an important step towards building an international network of partnerships for WSB University.
