WSB University among the leaders of international academic cooperation

WSB University is consistently developing international cooperation in Uzbekistan, as evidenced by both its participation in the congress in Samarkand and the meeting in Tashkent, aimed at establishing and strengthening academic partnerships.

During the Congress of Universities of the European Union and Central Asia in Samarkand, WSB University was represented by Professor Katarzyna Szczepańska-Woszczyna, Vice-Rector for Science and Education, who took part in an international debate involving representatives of more than 150 universities, rectors, and decision-makers responsible for the development of science and higher education.

The event was also attended by Ministers of Science and Higher Education from Poland and Uzbekistan, as well as representatives of the Conference of Rectors of Academic Schools in Poland. The congress became a platform for discussions on intensifying interregional cooperation, academic mobility, and the development of joint scientific initiatives.

“Academic exchange, student exchange, scientific exchange, joint projects, joint research, and ultimately joint grants – this is what we are aiming for at the third Polish-Uzbek forum,” said Marcin Kulasek, Minister of Science and Higher Education, in Samarkand.

The trip was co-financed under the project “Comprehensive support for the development of WSB University in line with the needs of the green and digital economy”, implemented within the European Funds for Silesia 2021–2027 programme and co-financed by the Just Transition Fund.

A meeting was also held in Tashkent between representatives of WSB University and Tashkent State Agrarian University, attended by Professor Katarzyna Szczepańska-Woszczyna and Professor Oblomuradov Narzullo Naimovich, dedicated to the development of cooperation between the institutions. The discussions focused primarily on joint scientific research, the implementation of international projects, and initiatives related to joint education. Both sides emphasized the importance of partnership based on the exchange of knowledge and experience, which is intended to strengthen the potential of both institutions.
