WSB University and ASTOR have established cooperation aimed at combining the experience of the academic community with practical business and technological knowledge. The partnership will focus on the implementation of joint educational, scientific and research-and-development initiatives, as well as on creating new development opportunities for WSB University students and course participants.
ASTOR is one of the market leaders in industrial automation, robotics and the digitalisation of industrial processes. For more than 35 years, it has supported businesses in implementing modern technologies for industry, providing innovative solutions in automation, robotics, IT systems for manufacturing and Industry 4.0.

As part of the cooperation, the partners plan, among other things, to jointly develop postgraduate programmes, training courses, courses and educational programmes that respond to current labour-market needs. An important element of the agreement will also be the organisation of work placements, enabling students to gain experience in a real business environment and develop competencies expected by employers.
On behalf of the University, the agreement was signed by Her Magnificence Rector of WSB University, Prof. Zdzisława Dacko-Pikiewicz, while Ms Małgorzata Hedwiczak, Director of ASTOR’s Automation Business Line, signed on behalf of ASTOR. The meeting was also attended by Prof. Marcin Lis, Vice-Rector for Student Affairs and Cooperation with the Environment at WSB University.
The establishment of this cooperation marks another step in building strong relations between science and business, as well as in creating conditions for students to acquire the practical knowledge, experience and competencies needed in the modern labour market.
