WSB University and the Provincial Emergency Medical Service in Katowice Establish a Partnership

WSB University has entered into a cooperation agreement with the Provincial Emergency Medical Service in Katowice. The agreement was signed by Prof. Zdzisława Dacko-Pikiewicz, Rector of WSB University, and Prof. Klaudiusz Nadolny, MD, PhD, DSc, Director of the Provincial Emergency Medical Service in Katowice.

The meeting was also attended by Prof. Katarzyna Szczepańska-Woszczyna, Vice-Rector for Science and Education; Prof. Marcin Lis, Vice-Rector for Student Affairs and External Relations; and Jacek Boroń, Deputy Head of the Organisational Department of the Provincial Emergency Medical Service in Katowice.

The partnership will focus on the development of educational, academic, research, and practical activities, particularly in the fields of medical sciences and health sciences. It will include the joint implementation of educational and research and development initiatives, including projects financed from both national and international funding sources.

The agreement also creates new opportunities for students, course participants, and employees to enhance their professional qualifications. Within the framework of the partnership, postgraduate programmes, specialist courses, training programmes, and other forms of lifelong learning will be delivered.

An important area of cooperation will be the further development of students' practical education, including the organisation of professional placements. The educational process will also benefit from access to the infrastructure, clinical facilities, and professional expertise of the Provincial Emergency Medical Service in Katowice.

The agreement further strengthens WSB University's cooperation with the medical community and creates new opportunities to combine high-quality academic education with practical preparation for careers in the healthcare sector.
